I just connected to your website from Opensourcephoto.com. I thought I'd try to connect to you because I can really use your help. I am sooooo very new to photography itself in terms of becoming a pro anyway. My sincere passion has been photography since I was just 9 years old and my dad gave me my first point & shoot polaroid camera - yes that's right a poloroid. But despite the lack of features etc, in that camera, I didn't know any better - I was thrilled! I was only nine afterall and to me it was one of the greatest gifts I'd ever been given. I immediately went out and started "shooting". I shot everythng with that little poloroid. I was hampered only by my ability to save up to get more film everytime I used up what I had which was just about daily. Anyway, I'm writing to you because I have so very very little experience and I want so badly to get a professional camera and get started in the wonderful passion that I could actually get paid for doing!!! I have been looking at the Canons also. How did you get your $300 rebate? What website did you buy from? It sounded like it was Canon itself but I wasn't sure. Also where did you take a photoshop class and was it expensive and how many weeks or days or whatever. Finally, I need the answers to a billion questions - I see that you're a Christian - PTL! I am too! Can I email you with some of my questions and can we stay in touch. I live in Carol Stream Illinois - I'm sure you haven't heard of it - but I could really use a mentor and encourager as well as a photography buddy.
